National Eat Together Week Twitter Party!!

Oh, yeah! It is time to party down on twitter and celebrate National Eat Together Week! Here at The Coupon Cupboard we could not be more on board with bringing families back to the table! America’s pork producers have officially been encouraging families to enjoy meals together for the last 14 years. Whether it’s dinner, breakfast or a weekend brunch, National Eat Together Week (formerly National Eat Dinner Together Week), celebrated September 20-26, 2009, encourages families to eat together WHENEVER they can find time.

This year, in addition to encouraging families to spend time at the table, America’s pork producers are helping those in need enjoy a meal, too. Beginning at midnight on Sunday, September 20th, America’s pork producers are encouraging you to “click for a cause”. For every recipe printed or shared via email from the special National Eat Together Week section on TheOtherWhiteMeat.com, America’s pork producers will donate five pounds of pork (or about 25 meals) to a food bank in need.

We think that is party worthy, don’t you???

So, to get you in the party spirit and, more importantly, encourage you to not only participate in National Eat Together Week but to share the news with others, we are hosting a twitter party with the National Pork Board (@AllAboutPork)

Plan to Eat Together with your twitter pals on Monday, September 21st 9pm EST (7pm MST, 6pm PST, 8pm CST) as we kick off a great week! The party will last approx. 2 hours.

Want to win a $100 gift card to your favorite grocery store?

It is so easy! We want to get those donations to Feeding America and we need your help! So, beginning at midnight Sunday, September 20, start downloading your awesome recipes for the week. Each recipe you download is an entry for the $100 gift card! Just come back here after you download it and leave a comment with the name of the recipe. You can do this as many times as you would like! There are 12 recipes in total that trigger the “click for a cause” donation and can be viewed online anytime.

The night of the party we will be giving away 10 adorable Lunch Kits! These Lunch Kits will be full of surprises and will be sent to some lucky trivia winners.
