A red letter day, sometimes called a “scarlet day,” is any day of special significance. This year, Valentine’s Day happens to fall on a Sunday, and what better way to celebrate than with a special “Red Letter Day” menu – filled with fun and flavorful McCormick recipes and tips for the entire family. From a colorful twist on a breakfast favorite to a signature red velvet cake for dessert, McCormick has created treats to start and end your “Red Letter Day.”
We would love to help make Valentines Day a Red Letter Day for your family and are happy to have McCormick hosting a special twitter party to give us all tips!

Prizes will be offered based on responses to trivia questions and grand prize requirements, and shipped overnight for Saturday delivery – just in time for Valentine’s Day.
Ten winners will receive a festive Valentine’s Day kit filled with a variety of supplies to help them create their own “Red Letter Day” .
Prize Package Includes
- McCormick Red Food Color, Pure Vanilla Extract, Ground Cinnamon, etc.

- Measuring cups

- 16 oz container of white frosting (note: do not use butter cream)

The red mixer will help me mix up some yummy red velvet cupcakes for my family. Not to mention, I can also use the mixer to make some homemade red and pink cream cheese icing using McCormicks red food coloring and some red heart shaped sprinkles for that extra special #RedLetterDay touch!

The mixer would make the process of baking some yummy red velvet cupcakes using McCormick Red Food Color even easier. And of course I would share the love with my friends too!
I love to bake and I have had my eye on a KitchenAid mixer for quite some time now. (I’m hoping Kohl’s or Macy’s will have a giant sale on KitchenAid mixers so I can finally purchase one – no luck so far!) That being said, I still mix things with a whisk and some elbow grease =] This mixer would definitely assist me with my baking big time. I love the Rainbow Dough recipe! That would make some fun cookies for Valentine’s Day!

I will be trying the love bug cinamon pancakes spiced up w/ ground cinnamon the Kitchen-Aid stand mixer will help evenly blend in the vanilla extract and cinnamon into the pancake batter top w/colored sugar(or something like stevia or truvia or purevia) tasty tip :try making various colors by mixing different amounts of McCormick Red food color.The cinnamon in this recipe helps to regulate my blood sugar,keeping it even all day,I am diabetic,so this is important.WINNER #RedLetterDay

Overnight french toast batter blended in mynew Kitchen Aid Stand mixer ,then don’t forget to help yourelf to fresh berries ,Yes you can and should as a Diabetic load up on MORE fresh fruits and berries and LESS carbs and protein.Please remember to wait until after 12 noon,it does make a difference in how the natural sugars impact you glycemically/metaboically!;0)@misskathymae knows whats good!

I can’t decide which sounds better–the “Love Bug” cinnamon pancakes or the overnight french toast. I might just have to try both!!
Also, making your own water colors sounds like a fun activity. Perfect for the next snow storm.
Even if you make a regular sugar cookie, adding red food colored glaze or red colored sugar helps make them feel valentine’s day special.
